Recycle
Project Ripples connects environmental awareness with our community. We support activities that promote sustainability and contribute to global conservation efforts.
A key part of our activities is a focus on recycling. We recycle plastic bottles, cans, and glass bottles given to us through donations from private households, local businesses, and non-profits.
Collect
Proceeds received from partaking in recyclable redemptions (part of New York's Returnable Container Act), are directed to the Project Ripples Charitable Fund.
Support
Project Ripples donates all proceeds to make a positive impact.
Whether it is donating fully stocked backpacks for a school supply drive, filling up a local food pantry, or raising funds to support the non-profit and charitable organziations in our local community, we aim to create a positive change - one ripple at a time.
Engage
We support causes and activities that align with our mission to promote a more sustainable environment and help our community.
This includes educational outreach such as our participation in Manhasset Al Fresco as well as our support of clean-up events for parks and beaches throughout the year.
Impact
In the most recent 2024/2025 season, Project Ripples recycled over 15,000 donated bottles and cans. We used these proceeds as matching funds to amplify donations for fundraisers that support local nonprofits to benefit our community while promoting recycling as a sustainable and environmentally sound practice. These fundraisers yielded over $3,000 in donations to benefit four nonprofits.
